Job summary

CHANGAN Automobile is seeking an experienced Import/Export Logistics Coordinator to oversee delivery management in the GCC, ensuring compliance with UAE customs and international laws. You will coordinate with carriers, manage documentation and pricing, and supervise exports/imports from the UAE.

Responsibilities

• Own compliance with UAE and international shipping regulations and customs laws
• Manage delivery in GCC zone; negotiate with local carriers and optimize transport costs
• Prepare and track all logistics documents; ensure accuracy and timeliness
• Handle import/export declarations, clearance, and coordination with port agencies and shipping lines
• Review L/Cs and negotiate with banks; manage customer credit and pricing disputes
• Arrange import/export insurance purchases and assist with claims
• Archive and safeguard all documents; ensure information security
• Monitor shipment status and resolve documentation issues
• Coordinate with shipping lines, customs, regulatory bodies, banks and third-party institutions
• Prepare monthly operation statistics and data reporting

Responsibilities:

• Own the relevant expertise and ensure compliance with local (U.A.E) and international shipping regulations and customs laws.
• Responsible for delivery management in GCC zone. Negotiating with local carriers and develop transport capacity; Standardize transportation operation process, establish operation SOP; Organize and coordinate transportation arrangements to solve transportation problems. Optimize the transport cost control mechanism.
• Prepare and track all logistics documents to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of information. Complete all related document affairs, such as document review, document delivery, etc.
• Responsible for import and export declaration and clearance, master the customs process, port agencies and shipping lines. Independently contact and coordinate with the related parties.
• Responsible for L/C review and bank negotiation. Customer credit management, pricing management, and management of related disputes/charges.
• Responsible for the purchase of import and export transportation insurance, expense reimbursement, and assistance in settling claims.
• Filing & proper upkeep of all documents. Back up and manage all relevant and essential files and documents to ensure information security.
• Monitor shipment status and resolve any issues related to documentation.
• Coordination with shipping lines/agents, customs, the Commerce Commission, CCPIT, banks, and other third-party institutions.
• Arrange monthly statistics and handle the operation data.

Position Requirement:

• Proven experience of 3-4 years in import-export logistics fields, esp. on documentation & customs in the UAE, preferably in the UAE automotive sector.
• English & Arabic fluency required; Chinese proficiency is an advantage.
• Advanced import-export knowledge and mastery of the Incoterms.
• Proficiency in relevant software and logistics management systems. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Strong understanding of customs regulations and shipping processes.
• 3PL, logistics, and transportation systems knowledge.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and abilities to work under pressure. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
