Job summary

HUMAN-AI-Z Nexus Technology in Dubai, UAE is seeking an experienced Linux System Administrator to design, deploy and maintain Linux servers (Debian/Ubuntu) and related infrastructure for on-premise and customer environments.

You will manage Docker containers, monitor with Prometheus and Grafana, automate with Bash and Python, and provide remote and on-site support. Strong problem-solving and English communication are essential for effective collaboration with vendors and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/IT/Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of professional Linux system administration experience.
• Hands-on Linux with Debian/Ubuntu and strong command-line skills.
• TCP/IP networking, routing and firewall knowledge.
• Docker experience required; Kubernetes is an advantage.
• Monitoring/alerting with Prometheus, Grafana and Alertmanager preferred.
• Scripting and automation in Bash and Python.
• Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Ability to work independently in internal and customer environments.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain and support Linux servers.
• Deploy, configure and maintain ZENNER software platforms in on-premise and customer environments.
• Provide remote and on-site technical support for customer installations, including updates.
• Perform server maintenance, patches, backups, capacity management and security.
• Troubleshoot Linux, system and network issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Manage TCP/IP networking, routing and firewall configurations.
• Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker; Kubernetes experience is an advantage.
• Monitor infrastructure and applications using Prometheus, Grafana and Alertmanager.
• Develop scripts and automation using Bash and Python.
• Maintain clear technical documentation, system configurations and incident records.
• Work closely with internal teams, customers and external vendors to resolve issues and ensure system reliability.
