Job summary

Black Pearl Consult seeks a highly motivated DevOps Engineer in Abu Dhabi to join a growing technology team. You will design, build, and optimize scalable, secure, and high-performing infrastructure and production pipelines to support modern applications.

Collaborating with developers and QA, you will implement IaC, CI/CD, monitoring, and incident response while upholding security standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines across cloud environments.
• Hands-on IaC tooling experience (Terraform, Pulumi, etc).
• Knowledge of security best practices in DevOps environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline development and deployment processes
• Build and manage scalable infrastructure supporting modern applications
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using IaC tools like Terraform/Ansible
• Optimize cloud and on-prem environments for performance, scalability, and cost
• Manage real-time data streaming and queuing systems
• Monitor performance and troubleshoot production issues to ensure high availability
• Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
• Establish monitoring for system and application metrics
• Conduct root cause analysis and contribute to reliability improvements
• Collaborate with teams to deploy new features securely
• Promote security and architectural best practices in deployments
• Participate in on-call rotation to support production systems
• Ensure compliance with SOC2, ISO27001 and related standards
• Manage secrets securely with Vault or cloud-native solutions

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and skilled DevOpsEngineer to join their growing technology team. This role will play a critical part in building, deploying, and maintaining scalable, secure, and high-performing infrastructure. You will work closely with development and QA teams to ensure seamless delivery pipelines and reliable production environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline development and deployment processes
• Build and manage scalable infrastructure supporting modern applications, including AI-driven systems
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation
• Optimize cloud and on-premise environments for performance, scalability, and costefficiency
• Manage and enhance real-time data streaming and queuing systems
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot production issues to ensure high availability
• Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)
• Establish monitoring for both system performance and application-level metrics
• Conduct root cause analysis and contribute to continuous improvement of system reliability
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure smooth deployment of new features
• Promote best practices in architecture, security, and performance optimization
• Participate in an on-call rotation to support production systems
• Ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards (e.g., SOC2, ISO27001)
• Manage secrets and credentials securely using tools like Vault or cloud-nativesolutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’sdegree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalentexperience)
• Proficiencyin at least one scripting language such as Python, Bash, or Go
• Hands-onexperience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
• Strongexperience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experiencewith CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, or CircleCI
• Familiaritywith monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Datadog,Grafana)
• Solidunderstanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, load balancing, firewalls)
• Exposureto real-time data processing architectures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experiencewith Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Pulumi
• Knowledgeof service mesh technologies (e.g., Istio, Linkerd)
• Familiaritywith database scaling and administration (SQL, NoSQL, Vector databases)
• Experienceworking in high-traffic or production-critical environments
