Job summary

Le Méridien Abu Dhabi is seeking a dedicated Line Cook to assist in preparing and cooking food to our recipes, quality and presentation standards. You will assemble ingredients, portion, chop, and store them, ensuring a clean, safe kitchen and accurate temperatures.

The role requires adherence to food safety policies, sanitation, and teamwork to maintain high standards across service periods. Prior experience is not required, but a willingness to learn, attention to detail, and a neat appearance

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Less than 1 year of related work experience.
• No supervisory experience.
• License or Certification: None

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards.
• Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food.
• Safely use baking and measuring tools/equipment to prepare baked foods.
• Follow food safety policies and sanitation procedures.
• Monitor temperatures of kitchen appliances and food; report issues to management.
• Wash and disinfect kitchen areas; set up and break down work stations; maintain sanitation.
