Job summary

MK Lighting Solutions in Abu Dhabi is seeking a results-driven Lighting Estimation & Sales Engineer. The role focuses on technical sales, BOQ preparation, and coordinating lighting projects across the UAE's lighting and construction sectors.

The ideal candidate will have solid experience in lighting estimation, calculations, and vendor coordination, with strong negotiation and client-facing skills. A UAE driving license and willingness to travel are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Lighting Engineering.
• 4–6 years UAE experience in lighting, MEP, or construction sales.
• Proven track record of securing lighting projects and meeting sales targets.
• Strong knowledge of lighting fixtures, LED technologies, and controls.
• Ability to read drawings and prepare BOQs and cost estimates.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of lighting calculation software such as DIALux or Relux is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare lighting estimates, BOQs, cost breakdowns, and commercial quotations based on project specifications.
• Review architectural drawings, lighting layouts, electrical drawings, and tender documents to identify requirements and determine suitable lighting solutions.
• Prepare lighting calculations, layouts, product selections, and technical submittals in accordance with project specs.
• Recommend appropriate lighting fixtures, controls, and solutions based on technical requirements, performance criteria, and budgets.
• Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to obtain product specs, availability, lead times, and pricing.
• Conduct project site visits to assess requirements, verify measurements, and provide technical support.
• Drive new business development across the UAE's lighting, construction, MEP, architectural, and interior fit-out sectors.
• Lead client meetings, technical presentations, and negotiations to promote lighting solutions.
• Follow up on quotations, manage pricing and contracts, and convert opportunities into orders.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, suppliers, and project teams to ensure smooth communication.
• Support the sales team with technical expertise, cost estimates, and project-specific solutions.
