Job summary

Wood is seeking an experienced Structural Supervisor in Dubai to lead and coordinate all structural steel fabrication activities within the fabrication shop, ensuring compliance with ADNOC standards, project specs, and approved procedures. The role requires a diploma or degree in civil/structural engineering, 10+ years in the field, and strong leadership in multicultural teams.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent.
• 10+ years in structural steel fabrication, with 5+ years in supervisory role.
• Experience on ADNOC or similar Middle East EPC/EPCM projects.
• Knowledge of structural fabrication processes, welding, and applicable codes (AISC, AWS, BS/EN).
• Familiarity with ADNOC standards, project specs, and HSE requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret structural/fabrication drawings.
• Experience in fabrication shop operations and productivity management.
• Leadership in multicultural teams.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day structural fabrication activities (cutting, drilling, fit-up, welding, assembly).
• Ensure works align with IFC and fabrication drawings, WPS, ITPs, ADNOC specs.
• Coordinate with engineering, detailing, QA/QC, and planning teams.
• Review fabrication drawings for constructability issues.
• Monitor productivity and ensure material, manpower, and equipment availability.
• Maintain traceability and proper storage of structural components.
• Provide daily/weekly progress reports to management.
• Supervise subcontractors and ensure quality and safety compliance.
