Job summary

Archirodon has been awarded a major Oil & Gas EPC project in UAE and is assembling a team of Lead Engineers based in the UAE office to lead multidiscipline engineering and construction activities. The role focuses on supervising structural steel erection, coordinating with subcontractors and engineers, and ensuring compliance with approved drawings and bolt schedules.

Candidates should have a Civil/Structural engineering degree, a minimum of 5 years in engineering/construction, and at least 3

• 5 years of overall engineering/construction experience.
• 3 years of industrial site experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, or Power Construction.
• Proven experience in structural steel erection, bolted connections, and steel structures.

Responsibilities

• Supervise structural steel erection activities.
• Coordinate daily site activities with construction teams, subcontractors, engineers, QA/QC, HSE, and project management.
• Ensure structural steel installation is carried out per GA, erection, shop, connection drawings, MTOs, and bolt schedules.
• Monitor bolted steel connections, alignment, leveling, bolt tightening, and overall erection quality.
• Review drawings, technical documents, and survey information and coordinate with relevant departments for discrepancies.
• Conduct site inspections and coordinate with QA/QC to ensure compliance with project specs.

Archirodon has been awarded a major Oil & Gas EPC project in UAE, and is currently building a team of experienced Lead Engineers, who will be based in our UAE office and lead the multidiscipline Engineering of the project.

Project includes the detailed engineering and design, quality assurance and control, procurement/supply, interface management, construction/installation, pre-commissioning, commissioning/start-up of Hydrocarbon & non-Hydrocarbon systems and management including all works required for the job completion. The main objective of this brownfield project is to increase the production handling capacity by adding a new Production Train and associated facilities at an existing Central Degassing Station and a new gas lift compressor train at another existing Central Degassing Station.

Role Summary:

• Supervise and manage structural steel erection activities, including primary and secondary steel structures.
• Coordinate daily site activities with construction teams, subcontractors, engineers, QA/QC, HSE, and project management.
• Ensure structural steel installation is carried out as per approved GA, erection, shop, connection drawings, MTOs, and bolt schedules.
• Monitor bolted steel connections, alignment, leveling, bolt tightening, and overall erection quality.
• Review drawings, technical documents, and survey information and coordinate with relevant departments for any discrepancies.
• Conduct site inspections and coordinate with QA/QC teams to ensure compliance with project specifications and applicable standards.
• Monitor manpower, equipment, materials, and daily progress to ensure project targets are achieved.
• Prepare and submit daily/weekly progress reports, site records, and other required documentation.
• Coordinate lifting and erection activities with the lifting team while ensuring compliance with approved lifting plans and HSE requirements.
• Ensure all activities comply with applicable structural, bolting, welding, lifting, work-at-height, and site safety requirements.
• Identify site constraints, technical issues, and construction delays and coordinate with the concerned teams for timely resolution.
• Support brownfield construction activities, where applicable, including coordination with existing facilities and operational areas.
• Ensure proper documentation and updating of drawings, inspection records, and project documentation through document-control systems.
• Coordinate with surveyors for setting out, alignment, levels, and dimensional verification.
• Participate in site meetings and provide technical input related to structural steel erection and field execution.

What you will need to have:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a relevant engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of overall engineering/construction experience.
• Minimum 3 years of industrial site experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, or Power Construction.
• Proven experience in structural steel erection, particularly bolted connections and primary/secondary steel structures.
• Brownfield project experience will be an advantage.
