Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking a structural engineer to lead the design and analysis of metal-based building solutions, ensuring compliance with AISC/Eurocode and project specs. You will develop detailed drawings and collaborate with architects, contractors, and fabricators throughout design and construction.

You will perform complex calculations, review shop drawings, support fabrication and erection, and contribute to value engineering while staying current with industry standards and BIM coordination.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of steel design codes (AISC and Eurocode) and building regulations.
• Experience using BIM software for integrated design and coordination.
• Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to liaise with diverse stakeholders.
• Independent and collaborative team player in fast-paced environments.
• Fluency in English; additional languages a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design and analysis of metal-based building solutions, ensuring compliance with codes and project specifications.
• Develop detailed engineering drawings and specifications for steel structures, including connections, framing, and bracing systems.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and fabricators to integrate metal solutions seamlessly into project designs and construction.
• Perform complex structural calculations using specialized software to validate designs for load-bearing capacity and stability.
• Manage project timelines and budgets for structural metal components, proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
• Conduct site inspections and provide technical support during the fabrication and erection phases of steel structures.
• Review and approve shop drawings and material submittals to ensure adherence to design intent and quality standards.
• Investigate and resolve structural issues that arise during design, fabrication, or construction of metal solutions.
• Stay abreast of advancements in metal construction technologies, materials, and relevant industry standards.
• Contribute to value engineering efforts to optimize structural designs for cost-effectiveness and constructability.
