Job summary

Tanqeeb in the United Arab Emirates seeks an experienced Structural Lead / Building Inspector to oversee structural design validation, inspections, construction quality, and building condition assessments. You will review drawings, conduct inspections, and ensure compliance with codes and project requirements.

You will coordinate with structural engineers, consultants, and contractors, assess existing building conditions, and prepare clear inspection reports and recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or diploma in civil/structural engineering.
• Proven experience in structural engineering, building inspection, or construction quality.
• Strong knowledge of structural systems, construction methods, codes, and standards.
• Experience in inspections, defect assessment, and technical reporting.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Professional engineering or inspection qualifications are an advantage.
• Experience in large-scale projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review structural drawings, calculations, specifications, and submissions.
• Conduct inspections and monitor construction quality.
• Ensure works comply with designs, codes, standards, and project requirements.
• Identify defects, risks, and non-conformities; recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate with engineers, consultants, contractors, and teams.
• Review materials, methods, and testing results.
• Assess existing building conditions and performance.

• Support testing, commissioning, handover.
