Wynn Al Marjan Island in the UAE is seeking a Head Sommelier for the Chinese Restaurant to lead the wine program within our luxury Food & Beverage team.

The role requires 3-5 years of sommelier experience in luxury hospitality, fluent English, and a Certified Sommelier qualification. You will oversee wine list development, train staff, and deliver personalized guest experiences across ceremonial dining events.

Qualifications

• Must have 3-5 years of sommelier experience in luxury hospitality environments.
• Fluent English communication skills (spoken and written).
• Strong knowledge of global wine regions, vintages, and pairings.
• Experience in wine list development, inventory management, and stock control.
• Proven leadership and staff development abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and uphold Wynn values, wine program standards, and service excellence across the sommelier team.
• Act as brand ambassador; build relationships with guests, members, and partners.
• Collaborate with wine and membership teams on projects and sales initiatives.
• Oversee wine list development and ensure luxury service standards and safety.
• Provide expert wine recommendations and personalized experiences for members and guests.
• Plan and conduct wine tastings, trainings, and pre-shift briefings.
