Job summary

Wynn Al Marjan Island seeks an accomplished Head Sommelier for its IndoPersian restaurant to lead the wine program and deliver luxury service within the resort.

Responsibilities include wine list development, staff training, tastings, and ensuring exceptional guest experiences while upholding Wynn standards and safety.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years sommelier experience, a certified sommelier credential, fluent English, and flexibility for varied schedules in the UAE.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of sommelier experience in luxury hospitality.
• Certified Sommelier qualification strongly preferred.
• Fluent in English with excellent communication and guest service.
• Extensive knowledge of global wine regions and pairing principles.
• Experience in wine list development and cellar management.
• Strong leadership and staff development skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and uphold Wynn Al Marjan Island values, wine program standards, and service excellence across the sommelier team.
• Act as a Wynn brand ambassador, building relationships with guests and partners.
• Collaborate with Administrative Wine Team and Membership Team on projects, wine sales initiatives, and business growth opportunities.
• Oversee wine list development, team knowledge, and adherence to luxury wine service standards and safety requirements.
• Provide expert wine recommendations and personalized experiences tailored to members' and guests' preferences.
• Plan and lead wine tastings, educational seminars, team training sessions, and pre-shift briefings to enhance engagement and knowledge.
• Continuously develop wine expertise, support operational excellence, and perform additional leadership responsibilities as required.
