Job summary

Wynn Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE invites a Head Sommelier – Chinese to lead the resort's wine program within the Beverage team. The role focuses on brand ambassador duties, wine list leadership, and delivering personalized experiences to high-end guests and members.

You will oversee tastings, staff training, and inventory management while maintaining strict service standards in a luxury, multi-venue setting.

Qualifications

Minimum age 21 years required for alcohol service regulations.
3–5 years sommelier experience in luxury hospitality or integrated resort.
Certified Sommelier qualification strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead and uphold Wynn Al Marjan Island values, wine program standards, and service excellence across the sommelier team.
Act as Wynn brand ambassador, building relationships with staff, members, guests, and partners.
Collaborate with Administrative Wine Team and Membership Team on wine sales and growth initiatives.
Oversight of wine list development, team knowledge, and luxury service standards.
Provide expert wine recommendations and personalized experiences for members and guests.
Plan and lead wine tastings, seminars, and staff training to boost engagement and knowledge.
Develop wine expertise and support operational excellence.
