Job summary

You will direct site supervisors and crews, monitor progress against drawings, manage budgets, and liaise with clients and consultants to ensure quality and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Commercial: Procurement, supplier and subcontractor negotiation, and managing lead times.
• Leadership: Directing site teams and coordinating multiple trades while running several projects at once.
• Communication and client handling: Clear updates to clients, crews, and suppliers, plus expectation management and conflict resolution.
• Safety and quality: Enforcing health and safety procedures, quality inspections, testing, and snagging.
• Personal strengths: Problem-solving under pressure, attention to detail, and time management.

Responsibilities

• Take projects from handover through completion and client sign-off.
• Build project schedules, work breakdowns, and milestone plans across excavation to irrigation.
• Coordinate the sequence of trades to avoid clashes and idle time.
• Direct site supervisors, foremen, and crews on a day-to-day basis.
• Conduct regular site inspections for workmanship, progress, and drawings/compliance.
• Resolve technical issues on site (levels, drainage, ground conditions, utilities).
• Manage project budgets, track costs against estimates, and forecast final cost.
• Review and approve variations and change orders, and ensure pricing before work proceeds.
• Handle progress claims and invoicing, monitor cash flow and margins.
• Source materials/equipment and manage subcontractors and suppliers.
• Liaise with consultants, architects, designers, and sales/design teams.
• Obtain permits/approvals and keep records (drawings, change orders, inspections).
• Run final inspections, snagging, commissioning, and handover documentation.
• Mentor site staff and contribute to tendering, estimating, and process improvements.
