Job summary

McDermott Middle East Inc - Abu Dhabi (UAE) seeks a Principal Welding Engineer to guide welding engineering and metallurgical consultative services for onshore and offshore projects. You will oversee welding procedures, material selections, and budgeting for qualification activities while coordinating with QA/QC and customers.

You should have 8+ years in welding/metallurgy, with a strong background in subsea pipelines and professional body membership preferred.

Qualifications

• MS/MTech/ME in Welding or equivalent.
• 8+ years directly related to Welding, Metallurgy and Materials, subsea pipelines.
• Membership in a professional body preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead Welding Engineering discipline for onshore/offshore projects.
• Review and approve Welding Procedures and project schedules.
• Manage welding school facility for workforce development and training.
