Job summary

Tanqeeb, on behalf of a well-established design practice in Dubai, seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer - MEP Design to lead design, coordination, and delivery of Mechanical, Public Health, and Fire Protection systems across UAE and GCC.

This hands-on role requires ownership from feasibility through handover, working with clients, consultants, and multidisciplinary teams, with a focus on workplace fit-outs, laboratories, healthcare facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognised university.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant MEP engineering experience in UAE/GCC.
• Strong consultancy and design background delivering projects end-to-end.
• Extensive experience in commercial interiors and workplace fit-outs.
• Experience in labs, healthcare, warehouses, and server rooms is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, Public Health/Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and coordination of HVAC, Public Health, and Fire Protection systems.
• Prepare and review engineering calculations for loads, ventilation, and piping.
• Review drawings, calculations, specs, and tender documents.
• Attend site inspections and commissioning activities.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers.
• Coordinate with Interior Design, Architecture, Structures, and Electrical teams.
• Ensure designs are compliant and buildable per standards.
• Identify design risks and resolve issues early.
