Job summary

EDGE, based in Abu Dhabi, is seeking a Principal Engineer – Guidance & Control to provide technical leadership in the development and implementation of advanced guidance and control systems for guided weapons.

You will mentor teams, support flight testing and verification, and drive adoption of future technologies, while shaping capabilities and laboratories to stay at the forefront of defence innovation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Embedded Systems Engineering, or related field.
• 10–15 years of relevant engineering experience, preferably in guided weapon systems or missile systems.
• StrongtechnicalexpertiseinGuidance&Controlsystems, including algorithms, modelling & simulation, tracking, estimation, optimisation, and system verification.
• Minimum 5 years of engineering leadership or management experience, with demonstrated ability to lead and mentor engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of Guidance & Control systems, including algorithms, modelling, and estimation.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers across levels.
• Lead verification and flight-test activities, including SIL/PIL/HIL testing and post-flight analysis.
• Advance G&C capabilities, tools, laboratories, and methodologies.
