Job summary

SEHA - Abu Dhabi Health Services Co. in Abu Dhabi, UAE, seeks a Consultant Physician specialized in Gastroenterology to lead patient care within the GI division.

You will supervise the clinical activities of junior medical staff, ensure policy alignment, and support divisions with performance management and recruitment. The role requires diagnosing and treating GI patients, coordinating care with other specialties, leading ward rounds, obtaining informed consent, and handling referrals from ED

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses and treats GI patients according to established best-practice standards.
• Oversees the clinical activities of the junior medical staff and assumes responsibility for the care they provide.
• Complies with hospital policies regarding admissions, consultations, daily patient care, procedures and discharge protocols.
• Leads ward rounds; reassesses inpatients and outpatients regularly.
• Liaises with other medical specialties and supports services for input as required.
• Participates in multi-disciplinary meetings to plan holistic patient care.
• Ensures preparation for procedures including informed consent.
• Accepts appropriate referrals from ED, primary care, other departments, clinics, and other hospitals.

MBBS or equivalent
