Job summary

SEHA Health System in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Pediatric Gastroenterology Consultant to provide comprehensive GI care for pediatric patients in a tertiary academic hospital setting. You will diagnose, treat, and supervise pediatric GI disorders, including endoscopic procedures, and collaborate with surgeons, hepatologists, radiologists, and nutrition teams.

You will lead clinical rounds, develop patient-centered treatment plans, and participate in research, education, and service development.

Qualifications

• Medical degree from a recognized institution.
• Board certification in gastroenterology.
• Current medical license to practice.
• Current BLS/ACLS certificate.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage patients with gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary, pancreatic, and nutritional disorders.
• Conduct pediatric endoscopic procedures, including diagnostic and therapeutic upper and lower GI endoscopy.
• Develop and manage individualized treatment plans, including medical, nutritional, and procedural interventions.
• Lead inpatient ward rounds and outpatient clinics; review and follow up on admitted and referred patients.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary care with surgeons, dietitians, hepatologists, radiologists, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff.
• Provide mentorship and teaching to trainees and nursing staff; participate in quality improvement and audits.

Education
