Job summary

Gulf Contractors Company LLC, headquartered in Abu Dhabi, seeks an Estimator Lead with extensive UAE experience to steer the estimation function for major building and infrastructure projects. You will manage the estimation team, provide reliable pricing to the Tender Manager, and support tender decisions with robust cost data.

Responsibilities include reviewing drawings and BOQs, calculating take-offs, and ensuring competitive tender pricing while identifying risks and savings opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 10–15 years of relevant experience in estimation and tendering.
• Strong experience in building and infrastructure projects, preferably with a main contractor or EPC/construction company in UAE.

Role Description

We are seeking a qualified Estimator Lead with a minimum of 15 years of UAE experience to lead and manage the estimation function for building and infrastructure projects, ensuring accurate, competitive, and commercially sound cost estimates are prepared in support of the company’s tendering activities. The position is responsible for managing the estimation team and providing reliable pricing and cost information to the Tender Manager for tender submission and decision-making.

Your tasks and responsibilities shall include, but are not limited to:

• Lead and supervise the estimation team for building and infrastructure projects.
• Review tender documents, BOQs, drawings, and specifications.
• Prepare and review cost estimates, pricing, and quantity take-offs.
• Review subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Ensure accurate and competitive tender pricing.
• Identify cost risks, assumptions, and potential savings.
• Coordinate with technical, procurement, and commercial teams.

Qualifications
