Job summary

Tanqeeb is recruiting a Senior Estimation Engineer for Dubai to lead cost estimation, tendering and BIQ take-offs for civil, infrastructure and MEP projects. You will prepare technical and commercial bid proposals and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure competitive bids.

The ideal candidate has 8–15 years of UAE experience, strong analytical and negotiation skills, and proficiency with Candy CCS, CostX, PlanSwift and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
• 8–15 years in estimation, tendering, and quantity surveying in construction.
• Experience across building, infrastructure and MEP projects.
• Proficient in Candy CCS, CostX, PlanSwift or similar estimation tools.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods and pricing.

Responsibilities

• Review tender documents, drawings, specs, and BOQ.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, tender submissions, quantity take-offs, and commercial proposals for civil, infrastructure, and building projects. The candidate should possess strong analytical skills, extensive knowledge of construction methodologies, and the ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders to ensure competitive and technically compliant bids.

Key Responsibilities

• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and Bills of Quantities (BOQ).

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, subcontractors, and project overheads.

• Perform quantity take-offs from drawings, BIM models, and contract documents.

• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.

• Analyze project scope, risks, assumptions, and value engineering opportunities.

• Conduct rate analysis for standard and non-standard items.

Desired Candidate Profile

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.

• Minimum 8–15 years of experience in estimation, tendering, and quantity surveying within the construction industry.

• Strong experience in building, infrastructure, industrial, and MEP-related projects.

• Proficiency in estimation software such as Candy CCS, CostX, PlanSwift, or similar tools.

• Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and market pricing.

• Excellent analytical, commercial, negotiation, and communication skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict tender deadlines.

• GCC/UAE experience mandatory.
