Job summary

Penspen is urgently hiring a Lead Construction Engineer - Subsea for an Offshore PMC project in Abu Dhabi. The role leads subsea construction and installation planning, coordinating engineers, vessel teams and client interfaces.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Mechanical or Civil engineering and 20+ years in offshore projects with subsea experience, including pipelines, structures or tie-ins, preferably from an EPC/PMC background. High responsibility, safety-driven execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, civil or related engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum 20+ years of experience with at least 5–8+ years in offshore projects and subsea installation.
• Experience with subsea pipelines, structures, risers, umbilicals or subsea tie-ins and offshore installation campaigns.

Responsibilities

• Plan, engineer, coordinate and supervise subsea construction and installation activities.
• Ensure installation works are safe, cost-effective, and meet engineering requirements and specifications.
• Provide the primary technical interface between Subsea Engineering, Offshore Construction, Marine Operations and Client.
• Lead subsea construction activities and establish installation priorities.
• Coordinate offshore installation campaigns and vessel construction teams.
• Support offshore project management to achieve campaign milestones.

Penspen is urgently looking to hire for Lead Construction Engineer - Construction & Installation (Subsea) for one of our Offshore PMC projects in Abu Dhabi.

Qualification Required

• The candidates should have Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Civil or related Engineering discipline from an accredited university.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for planning, engineering, coordinating and supervising subsea construction and installation activities associated with offshore oil & gas projects.
• Ensures that subsea installation works are executed safely, efficiently, within approved cost and schedule, and in accordance with engineering requirements, installation procedures, marine standards and Client/Operator specifications.
• Provides the primary technical interface between Subsea Engineering, Offshore Construction, Marine Operations, Project Management, HSE, QA/QC, Survey, ROV, Diving, Pipelay, Installation Vessel teams, Fabrication, Procurement, Vendors, Subcontractors and the Client.
• Lead subsea construction and installation engineering activities.
• Establish installation priorities and execution strategy.
• Coordinate offshore installation campaigns.
• Provide technical direction to subsea construction engineers and supervisors.
• Coordinate with vessel construction teams.
• Ensure installation activities comply with approved procedures.
• Support offshore project management in achieving campaign milestones.

Experience Required

• Minimum 20+ years of experience, with at least 5 to 8+ years significant in offshore project.
• Proven experience in subsea construction/installation experience
• Proven experience with offshore installation campaigns
• Experience with subsea pipelines, structures, risers, umbilicals or subsea tie-ins
• Experience working with construction/installations vessels
• Brownfield/subsea tie-in experience strongly preferred
• Preferred experience from PMC/EPC Background.
• Previous ADNOC Offshore Experience is advantage.
