Job summary

Penspen is urgently seeking a Lead Construction Engineer - Construction & Installation (Subsea) for an offshore PMC project in Abu Dhabi. The role leads subsea construction and installation activities, coordinating with offshore teams and ensuring adherence to procedures and client specifications.

The ideal candidate has extensive offshore experience, with a strong background in subsea pipelines, structures, risers or umbilicals, and prior PMC/EPC exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil or related engineering from an accredited university.

Responsibilities

• Plan, engineer, coordinate and supervise subsea construction and installation activities for offshore oil & gas projects.
• Ensure subsea installation works are executed safely, efficiently, within approved cost and schedule, per engineering requirements and client specifications.
• Provide primary technical interface between Subsea Engineering, Offshore Construction, Marine Operations, PM, HSE, QA/QC, Survey, ROV, Diving, Pipelay and Vendors.

Qualification Required

Responsibilities

• Responsible for planning, engineering, coordinating and supervising subsea construction and installation activities associated with offshore oil & gas projects.
• Ensures that subsea installation works are executed safely, efficiently, within approved cost and schedule, and in accordance with engineering requirements, installation procedures, marine standards and Client/Operator specifications.
• Provides the primary technical interface between Subsea Engineering, Offshore Construction, Marine Operations, Project Management, HSE, QA/QC, Survey, ROV, Diving, Pipelay, Installation Vessel teams, Fabrication, Procurement, Vendors, Subcontractors and the Client.
• Lead subsea construction and installation engineering activities.
• Establish installation priorities and execution strategy.
• Coordinate offshore installation campaigns.
• Provide technical direction to subsea construction engineers and supervisors.
• Coordinate with vessel construction teams.
• Ensure installation activities comply with approved procedures.
• Support offshore project management in achieving campaign milestones.

Experience Required

• Minimum 20+ years of experience, with at least 5 to 8+ years significant in offshore project.
• Proven experience insubsea construction/installation experience
• Proven experience with offshore installation campaigns
• Experience with subsea pipelines, structures, risers, umbilicals or subsea tie-ins
• Experience working with construction/installations vessels
• Brownfield/subsea tie-in experience strongly preferred
• Preferred experience from PMC/EPC Background.
• Previous ADNOC Offshore Experience is advantage.
