Job summary

Penspen Ltd in Abu Dhabi seeks a Sr. Construction/Installation Engineer (Subsea - Pipelines/ Cables) for an offshore PMC project. Strong leadership in subsea construction and installation is required, with BD level expertise and ADNOC offshore exposure preferred.

The role covers planning, execution, and technical support across lay methods and integration with vessel teams, ensuring safe, compliant completion of campaigns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum 15+ years of experience with at least 5+ years offshore.
• Experience in subsea pipeline, flowline, cable and/or umbilical installation.
• PMC/EPC background and ADNOC offshore experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide construction engineering for subsea pipeline, flowline, cable and related activities.
• Support planning and execution of subsea installation campaigns (fabrication, load-out, offshore installation).
• Coordinate with subsea engineering, marine ops, vessels, ROV/survey teams, contractors and QA/QC.
• Lead construction and installation engineering for assigned subsea scopes.
• Develop and review installation methodologies, procedures and work packs.
• Review drawings, installation analyses, route layouts and specs.
• Provide technical support during offshore installation campaigns.
• Support subsea cable installation and power, control and communication cable works.
• Coordinate lay operations with installation vessel teams and review configurations.

Penspen is urgently looking to hire for Sr. Construction /Installation Engineer - (Subsea - Pipelines/ Cables) for one of our Offshore PMC projects in Abu Dhabi.

Qualification Required

• The candidates should have bachelor's degree of engineering in relevant discipline from an accredited university.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for providing construction engineering, installation engineering and offshore execution support for subsea pipeline, flowline, cable and associated subsea installation activities.
• Supports the planning and execution of subsea installation campaigns, including fabrication, load-out, transportation, offshore installation, lay operations, pull-in, tie-ins, crossings, trenching/burial, stabilization, testing, pre-commissioning and completion.
• Coordinates closely with subsea engineering, marine operations, installation vessels, ROV/survey teams, contractors, fabrication yards, QA/QC, HSE and Client/Operator representatives to ensure safe and efficient execution
• Lead construction and installation engineering activities for assigned subsea pipeline and cable scopes.
• Develop and review installation methodologies, procedures and work packs.
• Review approved engineering drawings, installation analyses, route layouts and construction specifications.
• Provide technical support during offshore installation campaigns.
• Provide engineering and field support for subsea pipeline and flowline installation.
• Support S-lay, J-lay, reel-lay or other applicable installation methods.
• Coordinate pipeline lay operations with installation vessel teams.
• Review lay configuration, tension, stinger configuration and vessel operating parameters.
• Monitor installation parameters and ensure compliance with approved installation limits.
• Provide construction engineering support for subsea power, control and communication cable installation.
• Support cable route preparation and installation planning.
• Coordinate cable installation from vessels and platforms.

Experience Required

• Minimum 15+ years of experience, with at least 5+ years significant in offshore project.
• Proven experience insubsea pipeline, flowline, cable and/or umbilical construction and installation within oil and gas offshore.
• Demonstrated experiencewith subsea pipeline/flowline installation and/or subsea cable installation campaigns
• Experience with offshore brownfield subsea tie-ins and modifications is strongly preferred.
• Preferred experience from PMC/EPC Background.
• Previous ADNOC Offshore Experience is advantage.
