Job summary

Paragon is seeking a Lead Commercial Evaluations and Process in Dubai, UAE, to drive economic evaluations and business cases for growth opportunities in oil and gas. The role covers M&A, concessions and expansion projects, developing robust economic models, and presenting results to senior management.

You will lead process improvements across the Growth Office using Lean Six Sigma and BPMN to maximize value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering Management or Business Management, or closely related discipline.
• Lean six sigma certification and Master's Degree is a plus.
• Minimum 10-12 years of experience in Business Management, Business development, Engineering, and Project management, across Upstream and integrated Oil/Gas projects.
• Good understanding of cross-functional and stakeholder dynamics in large and complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Economic and Commercial Evaluation and Analysis: Conduct framing meetings to identify growth opportunities and define scenarios.
• Liaise with technical teams to prepare assumptions and inputs for economic evaluations.
• Evaluate growth opportunities using economic analysis (NPV, IRR, payback period).
• Prepare presentations for the growth opportunity to present results to management.
• Maintain records of inputs, assumptions, results and recommendations.
• Participate in commercial negotiations.
• Develop and Maintain Economic Models: Develop or modify economic models for growth opportunities.
• Ensure models align with contract types (PSC, Tax & Royalty, R-Factor).
• Maintain the economic models and keep up to date with terms and calculation methodologies.
• Process & Performance Management and Reporting: Lead mapping and improvement of processes using Lean Six Sigma or BPMN.
• Standardize workflows and ensure knowledge transfer and adoption of best practices.
• Monitor KPIs to evaluate effectiveness of Growth Office processes.
• Monitor growth initiatives, identify trends, gaps and risks; develop mitigation plan.
• Build and update dashboards and reports to communicate portfolio performance and risks.
• Prepare periodic monthly quarterly annual reports and presentations for leadership.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly portfolio reports, dashboards and management presentations.
• Monitor Growth Office monthly performance and update risk register.
