EDGE is seeking a Chief Technician – Solid Rocket Motors in Abu Dhabi to lead the manufacture and assembly of critical SRM hardware. You will supervise machining, inspection, and assembly, bridging design intent with production execution while ensuring safety and traceability.

You will mentor a team of machinists, drive DFMA feedback, and coordinate with suppliers to meet strict aerospace standards. Fluency in English required; UAE-based manufacturing environment.

Formación

• Diploma or Technical Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 10–15 years in precision metal parts manufacturing in aerospace/defence.
• 5+ years in senior machinist or workshop supervision.
• Proficient interpreting drawings and GD&T.
• Hands-on with CMM inspection and precision measurement.
• Experience with AS9100/FAI/FAIR requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Lead fabrication and machining of SRM hardware per drawings.
• Supervise CNC turning, milling, drilling with GD&T adherence.
• Mentor machinists and technicians in safe workshop practice.
• Own project schedules for prototype and development hardware.
• Perform dimensional inspections using CMMs and gauges.
• Provide DFMA feedback on tolerances, materials, processes.
• Develop machining processes, fixtures, and work instructions.
• Lead root-cause investigations for non-conformances.
• Manage external machining suppliers and QA of delivered hardware.
• Coordinate material procurement and certification traceability.
• Support mechanical assembly and propulsion hardware integration.
• Drive continuous improvement for quality and productivity.
