Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Automobile Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–7 years of Bodyshop Estimator experience in the automotive industry.
• Knowledge of body repair, accident damage assessment, paintwork, panel replacement, and repair costing.
• Ability to estimate labor hours, parts requirements, consumables, and repair completion timelines.
• Understanding of workshop production planning and floor coordination.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate bodyshop repair estimates based on vehicle damage, labor requirements, parts, paintwork, and approved repair methods.
• Monitor daily workshop production to support achievement of budgeted output and targets.
• Coordinate repair jobs with technicians, supervisors, parts teams, and other workshop personnel.
• Ensure repairs are completed according to quality standards, manufacturer specifications, and completion times.
• Review progress and identify delays, capacity constraints, or resource shortages affecting delivery.
• Determine workshop requirements including manpower, equipment, tools, materials, and infrastructure support.
• Maintain clear communication with senior management and workshop employees to support smooth operations.
• Verify the quality of completed body and paint repairs before final inspection or delivery.
• Minimize repeat repairs by addressing workmanship issues before job closure.
• Support customer satisfaction by promoting accurate estimates, realistic timelines, and consistent repair quality.
• Maintain workshop discipline and compliance with procedures and safety rules.
