Job summary

EDGE in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, seeks a Senior Engineer for Special Processes to lead development, qualification, and industrialization across propulsion-related components. The role requires deep hands-on expertise in multiple aerospace special processes and strong technical leadership within a cross-functional team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Materials, Aerospace or Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of aerospace manufacturing experience with special processes.
• Hands-on expertise in two or more aerospace special processes (e.g., shot peening, coatings, heat treatment).
• Experience supporting NPI, industrialization, qualification, and ramp-up activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and industrialization of aerospace special processes for rotating, structural, and engine components.
• Provide technical leadership in processes including shot peening, thermal spray coatings, heat treatment, brazing, and surface finishing.
• Define and review routings, specifications, work instructions, control plans, and acceptance criteria.
• Establish process capability requirements and monitoring methods for stable production.
• Lead validation activities including FAI, qualification, capability studies, and readiness reviews.
