Job summary

Rixos Premium Saadiyat Island is seeking a Laundry Attendant to ensure efficient, high-quality processing of hotel linen, uniforms, and guest laundry. You will work in a luxury, fast-paced environment and maintain strict hygiene standards across all fabric items.

The role requires attention to detail, knowledge of laundry operations, and the ability to work flexible shifts in a premium resort setting on Saadiyat Island.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous hotel or commercial laundry experience is preferred.
• Experience in a 4- or 5-star hotel is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Collect, sort, count, and classify hotel linen, uniforms, guest laundry, and other fabric items.
• Operate washing machines, dryers, ironing machines, presses, and other laundry equipment safely.
• Inspect items for stains, damage, and quality before and after washing.
• Apply washing, stain removal, drying, pressing, and finishing techniques by fabric type.
• Fold, press, package, and distribute clean linen and uniforms to departments.
• Process guest laundry and dry-cleaning items within required turnaround time.
• Maintain hygiene by separating clean and soiled linen and report issues promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area and equipment.
• Follow health, safety, hygiene, chemical-handling, and environmental policies.

Job Description

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for ensuring the efficient and high-quality processing of all hotel linen, uniforms, guest laundry, and other fabric items. The role requires excellent attention to detail, knowledge of laundry operations, and a strong commitment to maintaining the high standards expected in a 5-star luxury hotel.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, sort, count, and classify hotel linen, uniforms, guest laundry, and other fabric items according to established procedures.
• Operate washing machines, dryers, ironing machines, presses, and other laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Inspect all items for stains, damage, and quality before and after the washing process.
• Apply appropriate washing, stain-removal, drying, pressing, and finishing techniques according to fabric type and hotel standards.
• Fold, press, package, and distribute clean linen and uniforms to the appropriate departments.
• Process guest laundry and dry-cleaning items accurately and within the required turnaround time.
• Maintain proper separation of clean and soiled linen to ensure hygiene and prevent cross-contamination.
• Report damaged, stained, or missing items to the Laundry Supervisor promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area, equipment, and storage areas.
• Follow all hotel health, safety, hygiene, chemical-handling, and environmental

Qualifications

• High school diplomaor equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience ina hotel laundryor commercial laundryis preferred.
• Experience in a4- or 5-star hotelis an advantage.
• Basic knowledge oflaundry operations, fabriccare, stain removal, washing, drying, ironing, and pressing.
• Ability to operatelaundry equipment safelyand efficiently.
• Good physical fitnessand ability tostand for longperiods and lift/move laundry bagsor linen.
• Good attentionto detail andcommitment to maintaininghigh hygiene andquality standards.
• Basic communicationskills in English; knowledge of additionallanguages is anadvantage.
• Ability to workeffectively as partof a team.
• Flexibleto work shifts, weekends, and publicholidays.
• Reliable, hardworking, andable to workin a fast-paced luxury hotelenvironment.
