Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily laundry tasks for hotel linens, uniforms, and assigned textile items according to approved operating cycles.
- Sort, process, clean, dry, fold, and prepare laundry items while following proper textile care procedures.
- Handle laundry chemicals safely and use approved quantities in line with health, safety, and hotel standards.
- Operate laundry machinery and equipment carefully, ensuring correct use and basic care during daily operations.
- Maintain proper cleanliness and organization of the laundry work area throughout the shift.
- Complete daily checklists, production records, logbooks, and required laundry reports accurately.
- Report equipment malfunctions, machine issues, linen damage, textile stains, or unusual conditions to superiors immediately.
- Support preventive care of laundry machinery by using equipment responsibly and reporting maintenance needs on time.
- Follow deadlines and schedules agreed with management for linen delivery, uniform readiness, and laundry processing.
- Participate in monthly inventories for linens, uniforms, supplies, and laundry operating items.
- Ensure lost and found items discovered in laundry are handled according to hotel procedures.
- Maintain hygiene, safety, and cleanliness standards while working with textiles, chemicals, machines, and storage areas.
- Cooperate with housekeeping, uniform room, engineering, and other hotel departments when laundry support is required.
- Protect hotel assets by handling linens, uniforms, equipment, and supplies carefully.
- Carry out additional reasonable tasks assigned by supervisors or management to support laundry and hotel operations.
Ideal Profile
- Diploma or degree in vocational hospitality, hotel operations, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in laundry operations within a 4-5 star hotel, resort, or similar hospitality environment.
- Practical knowledge of linen care, uniform handling, textile sorting, laundry cycles, and basic stain awareness.
- Familiarity with laundry equipment, chemical handling, workplace safety, and hygiene procedures.
- Ability to follow schedules, meet deadlines, and maintain consistent output during busy hotel operations.
- Detail-oriented approach to checking linen condition, reporting damage, updating logbooks, and completing daily checklists.
- Able to work well with housekeeping, supervisors, and other hotel departments.
- Reliable, organized, and comfortable performing repetitive operational tasks with accuracy.
- Good personal discipline, punctuality, and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Positive attitude with willingness to learn and support hotel service standards.
