Job summary

Rixos Premium Saadiyat Island is seeking a Laundry Attendant to ensure efficient and high-quality processing of all hotel linen, uniforms, guest laundry, and other fabric items in a luxury 5-star setting.

You will operate laundry equipment, inspect items for quality, and maintain hygiene standards while supporting a fast-paced housekeeping team. Knowledge of fabric care and stain removal is essential, with flexibility to work shifts in a premium Abu Dhabi hotel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in hotel laundry or commercial laundry preferred.
• Experience in a 4- or 5-star hotel is an advantage.
• Knowledge of laundry operations, fabric care, stain removal, washing, drying, ironing, and pressing.
• Ability to operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Good physical fitness and ability to stand for long periods and lift/move laundry bags or linen.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high hygiene and quality standards.
• Basic communications skills in English; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Collect, sort, count, and classify hotel linen, uniforms, guest laundry, and other fabric items.
• Operate washing machines, dryers, ironing machines, presses, and other laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Inspect all items for stains, damage, and quality before and after the washing process.
• Apply appropriate washing, stain-removal, drying, pressing, and finishing techniques according to fabric type and hotel standards.
• Fold, press, package, and distribute clean linen and uniforms to the appropriate departments.
• Process guest laundry and dry-cleaning items accurately and within the required turnaround time.
• Maintain proper separation of clean and soiled linen to ensure hygiene and prevent cross-contamination.
• Report damaged, stained, or missing items to the Laundry Supervisor promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area, equipment, and storage areas.
• Follow all hotel health, safety, hygiene, chemical-handling, and environmental procedures.

Job Description

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for ensuring the efficient and high-quality processing of all hotel linen, uniforms, guest laundry, and other fabric items.
