Job summary

Binghatti, a leading UAE developer in Dubai, seeks a senior Landscape Architect to lead the landscape department from concept to delivery across high-profile projects. The role requires directing design strategy, enforcing quality standards, and coordinating with architecture, MEP, and construction teams to ensure cohesive, sustainable outdoor environments.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in landscape architecture with a minimum of 3 years in leadership, plus professional accreditation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture.
• 10+ years in landscape architecture with at least 3 years in leadership.
• Professional accreditation (ASLA, LI, or equivalent) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct landscape design strategy across all projects from concept through execution.
• Review and approve landscape concept designs balancing vision with budget and master plan.
• Lead, mentor and develop the landscape architecture team.
• Conduct performance reviews and identify training needs to strengthen the department's design capabilities and career growth.
• Regulatory & Compliance Oversight: Ensure designs comply with Dubai Municipality regulations and building codes.
• Cross-Functional Design Coordination: Collaborate with architecture, structural, MEP, interior design and PM teams.
• Liaise with external landscape consultants and contractors to preserve design intent.
• Quality Assurance & Problem-Solving: Conduct quality checks and resolve on-site challenges.
• Industry Trends & Sustainability: Stay current on trends and introduce new tools and materials.

Job Overview

Leads the Landscape department for all projects, directing landscape design strategy from concept to delivery and ensuring outdoor environments are innovative, cohesive and aligned with the company's design standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct landscape design strategy across all projects from concept through execution, ensuring alignment with BinGhatti's design language and quality standards.
• Review and approve landscape concept designs, balancing creative vision with feasibility, budget and the overall master plan.
• Lead, mentor and develop the landscape architecture team, allocating workload effectively and building a collaborative, high-performing culture.
• Conduct performance reviews and identify training needs to strengthen the department's design capabilities and career growth.
• Regulatory & Compliance Oversight
• Ensure all landscape designs comply with Dubai Municipality regulations, master developer guidelines and applicable building codes.
• Review submissions prior to authority approval, proactively resolving discrepancies or non-compliance issues.
• Cross-Functional Design Coordination\
• Collaborate closely with architecture, structural, MEP, interior design and project management teams to ensure a cohesive design approach.
• Liaise with external landscape consultants and contractors to ensure design intent is preserved through construction.
• Quality Assurance & Problem-Solving
• Conduct quality checks on landscape drawings and documentation prior to submission to management or external authorities.
• Resolve on-site design or construction challenges swiftly, providing innovative and practical solutions.
• Industry Trends & Sustainability
• Stay current on landscape architecture trends, sustainable design practices and technologies relevant to Dubai and the wider UAE market.
• Introduce new design tools, materials or techniques that improve the quality and efficiency of landscape projects.

Position Requirements

Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture.

Experience: 10+ years in landscape architecture, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.

Professional Certifications: Professional accreditation (e.g., ASLA, LI, or equivalent) preferred.
