Job summary

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Surveying, Geomatics, or related technical discipline.
• Professional Land Surveyor license or an internationally recognized surveying certification.

• Strong practical ability with total stations, GPS/GNSS equipment, digital levels, and laser levels.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed land and engineering surveys for roads, infrastructure, underground utilities, micro tunneling, and sewage treatment plant projects.
• Operate GPS and GNSS systems, total stations, digital levels, laser levels, and associated surveying instruments.
• Carry out site reconnaissance to identify physical constraints, existing features, access conditions, and suitable control locations.
• Establish and maintain survey control networks, benchmarks, reference points, and coordinate systems.
• Perform leveling, traversing, topographic, boundary, alignment, and construction setting-out surveys.
• Verify horizontal and vertical positions for roadworks, utility routes, structures, chambers, pipelines, and associated civil works.
• Support micro tunneling operations by setting and checking shafts, alignments, levels, entry points, and receiving locations.
• Survey sewage treatment plant components, pipelines, tanks, structures, and related infrastructure.
• Locate and document existing underground utilities before excavation or construction begins.
• Compare surveyed utility positions with drawings and notify project teams of potential conflicts or discrepancies.
• Collect accurate field measurements and maintain complete survey notes and instrument records.
• Process raw survey data using approved software and confirm accuracy before issuing results.
• Perform coordinate calculations, datum transformations, level reductions, closures, and other survey computations.
• Prepare survey drawings, site plans, coordinate schedules, profiles, cross-sections, and technical reports.
• Use AutoCAD and related surveying software to produce clear and accurate project documentation.
• Review engineering drawings, design coordinates, specifications, and construction requirements before field activities.
• Provide verified setting-out information to construction teams and confirm completed work against approved designs.
• Conduct as-built surveys and prepare records for completed infrastructure and underground installations.
• Monitor control points throughout construction and replace or re-establish damaged survey markers when required.
• Coordinate daily survey priorities with project engineers, contractors, supervisors, and other stakeholders.
• Respond to technical queries relating to coordinates, boundaries, alignments, elevations, and site conditions.
• Ensure survey activities comply with UAE standards, local regulations, project procedures, and quality requirements.

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor 's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Surveying, Geomatics, or a related technical discipline.
• Professional Land Surveyor license or an internationally recognized surveying certification.
• Minimum 7 years of professional land surveying experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in roads, infrastructure, underground utility, or major civil construction projects.
• Experience supporting micro tunneling, pipeline, drainage, or sewage treatment plant works is highly relevant.
• Strong practical ability with total stations, GPS and GNSS equipment, digital levels, and laser levels.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and survey data processing software.
• Sound understanding of coordinate systems, datums, transformations, traverses, closures, and survey calculations.
• Familiarity with UAE surveying standards, local authority requirements, and regional construction practices.
• Ability to interpret civil engineering drawings, utility layouts, profiles, sections, and technical specifications.
• Experience establishing project control networks and maintaining benchmarks throughout construction.
