The Senior Land Surveyor provides the measurement control and spatial accuracy required for successful sewerage treatment plant and wastewater infrastructure delivery. Survey information directly influences site setting-out, structural positioning, underground utility coordination, levels, alignments, quantities, and verification of completed works. The position combines field leadership with technical analysis. By maintaining accurate survey controls and quickly identifying discrepancies between site conditions and approved designs, the role helps engineering and construction teams reduce rework, protect programme targets, and maintain compliance with project requirements. Close coordination with civil engineers, project managers, contractors, and other technical disciplines is essential because survey data forms a critical reference point throughout construction.
Candidates should bring at least 8 years of professional land surveying experience, including a minimum of 5 years working specifically on wastewater, sewerage treatment plant, or closely related infrastructure projects. Strong practical knowledge of civil engineering and construction surveying is required, particularly in relation to treatment plant structures, pipelines, utilities, levels, alignments, and site control. Applicants should demonstrate advanced capability using AutoCAD, GIS software, survey data processing tools, and modern field surveying equipment. Experience with GPS and GNSS systems is important, while exposure to drone-based surveying technologies provides additional value. The position requires exceptional measurement accuracy, analytical judgment, technical documentation skills, and the ability to detect discrepancies before they affect construction activities. Previous Dubai Municipality approval is preferred and will be particularly relevant for candidates experienced with local authority requirements and Dubai infrastructure projects. The successful candidate should also be capable of leading survey teams, coordinating with multidisciplinary stakeholders, and maintaining reliable technical records across demanding site environments.
Dubai 's continuing investment in wastewater treatment, utilities, and urban infrastructure creates strong demand for experienced survey professionals who can support increasingly complex engineering projects with accurate field intelligence and dependable technical control. This position offers exposure to major sewerage and infrastructure works where surveying directly influences construction quality, coordination, and successful commissioning. Working within AECOM also provides access to multidisciplinary engineering teams, advanced digital tools, international technical practices, and opportunities to progress into broader surveying leadership and infrastructure delivery responsibilities.
