Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in kitchen equipment maintenance or building maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical and refrigeration systems.
• Hands-on troubleshooting and repair of commercial kitchen appliances.
• HVAC, electrical, or appliance repair certifications preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to lift and bend; physically capable.
• Knowledge of food service safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and preventive inspections on all kitchen equipment and appliances
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration issues
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergency repair requests
• Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities and service history
• Ensure all work adheres to safety, health, and operational standards
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to communicate maintenance schedules
• Monitor and maintain critical systems including refrigeration units and ventilation systems
• Assist in the installation, testing, and commissioning of new kitchen equipment
• Manage inventory of spare parts, tools, and maintenance supplies

Requirements

• Proven experience in kitchen equipment maintenance or building maintenance
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration systems
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing commercial kitchen appliances
• Relevant technical certifications (HVAC, electrical, or appliance repair) preferred
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Physical capability to perform manual work, including lifting and bending
• Knowledge of food service industry standards and safety regulations
• Valid driver's license preferred
