Job summary

InterContinental Ras Al Khaimah Mina Al Arab Resort & Spa is seeking a Kitchen Steward to support our Employee Restaurant and maintain a clean, safe kitchen environment. The role involves daily cleanliness, equipment prep, and assisting with storage and waste responsibilities in a luxury resort setting.

You will join a dedicated team, contributing to high standards of hygiene and service. Flexibility for shifts, strong teamwork, and reliability are essential in this hospitality-focused position.

Qualifications

• Primary or high school education, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs (23 kg) and perform bending/kneeling.
• Previous stewarding, cleaning or kitchen experience preferred.
• Good understanding of cleanliness and personal hygiene.
• Physically active environment capability.
• Reliable, hardworking and team-focused attitude.
• Flexible to work different shifts including weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and sanitising kitchen equipment, utensils and working areas.
• Keeping the Employee Restaurant kitchen and surrounding areas clean and hygienic.
• Preparing kitchen equipment for daily use.
• Cleaning and properly storing equipment after use.
• Supporting the receiving, handling and storage of supplies.
• Maintaining clean and organised storage areas.
• Handling waste and linen safely and correctly.
• Following hygiene, health and safety procedures at all times.
• Supporting the culinary team during busy meal periods.
• Taking care of kitchen equipment and reporting any damage or safety concerns.
