Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Kitchen Steward to support our Employee Restaurant and maintain a clean, safe back-of-house. You will help keep equipment, areas and storage tidy while assisting the culinary team during busy periods.

The role requires basic education, physical stamina and a team-focused attitude. Flexibility for shifts, including weekends and holidays, is essential in a luxury resort environment on Hayat Island in Ras Al Khaimah.

Qualifications

• Primary or high school education or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs (23 kg) and perform physical tasks.
• Previous stewarding, cleaning or kitchen experience is a plus.
• Strong personal hygiene and cleanliness understanding.
• Willingness to work in a physically active environment.
• Flexible to work different shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitise kitchen equipment, utensils and work areas.
• Keep Employee Restaurant kitchen and surrounding areas clean and hygienic.
• Prepare kitchen equipment for daily use.
• Clean and properly store equipment after use.
• Support receiving, handling and storage of supplies.
• Maintain clean and organised storage areas.
• Handle waste and linen safely and correctly.
• Follow hygiene, health and safety procedures at all times.
• Support the culinary team during busy meal periods.
• Take care of kitchen equipment and report any damage or safety concerns.
