InterContinental Ras Al Khaimah Mina Al Arab Resort & Spa is seeking a Junior Sous Chef to support the daily operation of our Employee Restaurant. You will lead the kitchen team, supervise meal preparation, and help maintain high standards of hygiene, quality and cost control.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; culinary qualification or certification is preferred.
• Experience in a high-volume kitchen or staff cafeteria is ideal.

Responsibilities

• Supervising the daily preparation and service of meals for colleagues.
• Supporting menu planning and creating varied, balanced and appealing meal options.
• Leading and guiding the culinary team during daily operations.
• Ensuring food is prepared on time, in the right quantities and to consistent quality standards.
• Monitoring portion sizes, food usage and waste to help control costs.
• Managing food requisitions, stock levels and proper storage of ingredients.
• Maintaining high standards of kitchen cleanliness, hygiene and food safety.
• Supporting the training, coaching and development of culinary colleagues.
• Working closely with the culinary leadership team to continuously improve the Employee Restaurant experience.
