Job summary

The First Group Hospitality is a Dubai-headquartered hospitality management company seeking a Kitchen Steward to maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and food-service areas within a luxury destination.

You will support culinary and F&B teams by ensuring equipment, utensils, and service items are clean, sanitized, and readily available. The role requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends in a premium environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Kitchen Steward or in a similar role.
• Experience in luxury, premium, private or high-end environments is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of kitchen hygiene, sanitation, cleaning procedures, and safe chemical handling.
• Ability to operate commercial dishwashing and cleaning equipment.
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain consistent cleaning standards.
• Physically fit to stand, walk, bend, lift, and work for extended periods.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, public holidays, and busy service periods.
• Basic English communication; additional languages are an advantage.
• Relevant food-safety or hygiene training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, workstations, floors, walls, sinks, storage areas, and service zones.
• Wash, rinse, sanitize, dry, and store crockery, cutlery, glassware, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Operate dishwashing and cleaning equipment safely and correctly.
• Support the kitchen team with cleaning and preparation before, during, and after service.
• Ensure clean equipment and utensils are available when required.
• Handle kitchen tools, chemicals, cleaning materials, and equipment according to safety instructions.
• Follow all hygiene, sanitation, food-safety, health, and workplace-safety procedures.
• Maintain proper waste-separation, disposal, and recycling practices.
• Keep waste areas clean, secure, and free from odors or hazards.
• Assist with receiving, organizing, and storing kitchen supplies when required.
