IKEA is looking for an experienced Kitchen Specialist to support its retail operations in Jebel Ali, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This opportunity is suitable for candidates with experience in kitchen planning, retail sales, customer service, and home furnishing solutions.

The Kitchen Specialist will be responsible for supporting the performance of the kitchen department while helping customers plan functional and attractive kitchen spaces. The position combines customer interaction, sales development, kitchen design coordination, performance analysis, and team support.

Key Responsibilities

As a Kitchen Specialist, you will help customers throughout their kitchen-planning journey while supporting the store’s sales and service objectives. Your main responsibilities will include:

• Promote IKEA’s Kitchen Design Service and identify opportunities for additional sales.
• Assist customers with kitchen-planning requirements and provide a professional shopping experience.
• Manage and monitor customer appointments to minimize waiting times and maintain efficient service.
• Gather customer feedback and use it to identify opportunities for service improvement.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activities to better understand customer expectations.
• Work closely with the Range team to monitor product availability and support appropriate stock planning.
• Coordinate with home delivery and assembly teams to help ensure kitchen orders progress smoothly.
• Review kitchen designs and follow up on ongoing customer kitchen projects when required.
• Maintain regular communication with customers regarding their kitchen orders and service experience.
• Support the preparation of departmental business plans, budgets, and sales initiatives.
• Review daily and monthly performance reports and KPIs to identify areas requiring improvement.
• Develop practical action plans that contribute to achieving departmental sales targets.
• Help control operating expenses by encouraging efficient and cost-conscious working practices.
• Support the overall sales growth and commercial performance of the IKEA store.
• Ensure team members understand kitchen products, ranges, and relevant design systems.
• Support the training and development of kitchen designers to improve individual and departmental performance.
• Prepare productivity plans and monitor the efficiency of the kitchen-design team.
• Organize staff schedules according to customer demand, including peak and non-peak trading periods.
• Coordinate annual leave planning while maintaining appropriate staffing levels.
