Job summary

Tanqeeb in Dubai is seeking a qualified kindergarten teacher to plan and deliver play-based Arabic language lessons within the MOE Kindergarten framework. You will foster a safe, inclusive classroom that supports cognitive, social, emotional and physical development.

Applicants should have a Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education, 2+ years of KG teaching, and a UAE teaching license or eligibility. Excellent communication with families and collaboration with staff is essential.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native fluency in Arabic.

Responsibilities

• Ensure health, safety and wellbeing of all children at all times.
• Maintain attendance, incident and development records per KHDA requirements.

Job description

• Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate, play-based lessons in Arabic language and early learning areas in accordance with the MOE Kindergarten framework.
• Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that supports the holistic development (cognitive, social, emotional and physical) of young learners.
• Observe, document and assess children's progress and development using age-appropriate observation and assessment tools.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's development, routines and any concerns, including through daily updates and parent meetings.
• Establish consistent routines for arrival, dismissal, snack/meal times, rest periods and transitions between activities.
• Work closely with the KG Coordinator, teaching assistants and support staff to plan learning centers, circle time and thematic units.
• Identify children who may require additional support and liaise with the Inclusion/SEN team as needed.
• Ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of all children at all times, including during toileting, feeding and outdoor play.
• Maintain accurate attendance, incident and development records in line with KHDA Early Years requirements.
• Participate in KG assemblies, school events, CPD sessions and parent engagement activities.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Kindergarten Education, Arabic Language or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years' experience teaching in a Kindergarten/Early Years setting, preferably within an MOE curriculum school.
• Valid UAE Teacher's License or eligibility to obtain one.
• Knowledge of Early Years development milestones and MOE KG curriculum standards.
• Native or near-native fluency in Arabic.
• Warm, patient and nurturing disposition suited to working with young children.
• Strong classroom management skills using positive behavior strategies appropriate to Early Years.
• Creativity in designing play-based, hands-on learning experiences.
• Excellent communication skills with young children, parents and colleagues.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a KG team.
