Job summary

Al Zorah Beach Resort in Ajman invites applications for aKids Club role within the Recreation & Spa team. You will welcome families, design and lead age-appropriate activities, supervise children with care, and communicate with parents to ensure safe, enjoyable experiences for our youngest guests.

The ideal candidate has experience with children in hotel or resort settings, a relevant qualification, and a warm, communicative, adaptable approach for working across cultures.

Qualifications

• Experience with children in a Kids Club, hotel or resort is preferred.
• A qualification in Early Childhood Education, Childcare, Recreation or related field is advantageous.
• First Aid and CPR certification, ideally paediatric first aid, is highly desirable.
• Understanding of child safety, safeguarding and age-appropriate supervision practices.
• Creativity and confidence in organising games, educational activities and recreational programmes.
• Warm, patient and approachable personality with genuine interest in working with children.
• Strong English communication; additional languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate has a natural ability to connect with children of different ages, making them feel comfortable, included and excited to participate. You understand how to balance fun and engaging activities with attentive supervision, recognising that every child has different interests, personalities and needs.

With a warm personality, an energetic approach and excellent communication skills, you create positive experiences for our youngest guests while giving parents confidence that their children are in a safe and caring environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome children and families to the Kids Club, creating a friendly and engaging environment.
• Organise and lead age-appropriate recreational, educational and creative activities, including games, arts and crafts and interactive experiences.
• Supervise children throughout their participation, maintaining appropriate supervision ratios and following established safety procedures.
• Follow child registration, attendance, authorised collection and parent communication procedures.
• Adapt activities to different age groups, interests and abilities, encouraging participation and inclusion.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organised Kids Club environment, including play areas, toys, equipment and activity materials.
• Identify potential hazards and take appropriate preventive action to protect children’s safety and well-being.
• Respond calmly to incidents, injuries or concerns, following established emergency and reporting procedures.
• Communicate professionally with parents regarding activities, schedules and their children’s participation.
• Support the planning and preparation of daily activity programmes, themed events and seasonal celebrations.
• Monitor activity supplies and equipment, reporting maintenance concerns or replenishment requirements.
• Follow established child safeguarding, hygiene, health and safety procedures.
• Coordinate with Recreation & Spa colleagues and other departments to support family activities and resort events.
• Maintain accurate attendance records, incident reports and other required documentation.
• Respect guest privacy and maintain confidentiality regarding children and their families.

Qualifications & Experience

• Previous experience working with children in a Kids Club, hotel or resort is preferred.
• A qualification in Early Childhood Education, Childcare, Recreation or a related field is an advantage.
• Valid First Aid and CPR certification, preferably including paediatric first aid, is highly desirable.
