Job summary

Gems Education UAE is seeking an Assistant Head Teacher in Dubai to provide strategic leadership and drive high standards of teaching, learning, and student wellbeing. You will oversee curriculum planning and implement policies, ensuring accountability for student progress.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Education, recognised teaching qualifications, and proven leadership experience. The role includes participating in school improvement and adhering to the High Performance Learning framework.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a closely related field.
• Recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE, QTS, or equivalent.
• Proven leadership experience at Key Stage or middle leadership level.
• Strong understanding of curriculum planning, assessment, and behaviour for learning.
• Experience using data to drive improvement and personalised learning.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and be accountable for student progress, achievement, and wellbeing.
• Articulate and implement a clear Key Stage vision aligned with the school's ethos.
• Oversee curriculum planning, assessment, and data-informed improvement strategies.
• Support and implement the Behaviour for Learning Policy.
• Lead and manage teaching and learning quality across year groups.
