Kerzner International is seeking a kitchen leader at Bab Al Shams Desert Resort in Dubai to oversee food quality, kitchen operations, and hygiene in line with hotel standards. You will drive cost control, mentor junior chefs, and ensure regulatory compliance, collaborating with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef.

The role demands a hands-on approach, organizing outlets, maintaining high standards, and delivering exceptional guest experiences in a desert resort setting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and maintain the highest standards of food quality, kitchen operations, food safety and hygiene.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and hygiene regulations through collaboration with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef.
• Set standards and recipes for the outlet with a hands-on approach.
• Train, mentor and motivate junior chefs.
• Support management to ensure smooth kitchen operations and achievement of targets like Gross Profit and staff turnover.
• Assign tasks to junior chefs and verify proper execution.
• Maintain good employee relations and motivate colleagues.
• Monitor information boards for banquet or other updates and communicate changes to the team.
• Ensure the food safety system is followed and monitored.
