Kerzner International's One&Only The Palm in Dubai is seeking a Commis II to join our luxury kitchen team. You will assist in preparing high-quality dishes, upholding culinary standards, and supporting senior chefs in daily kitchen operations.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in a quality hotel, resort or restaurant environment.
• Knowledge of basic food preparation, cooking techniques and kitchen operations.
• Good English communication skills; another language is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of authentic dishes in line with resort standards.
• Take responsibility for assigned kitchen sections and support smooth daily operations under seniors.
• Prepare mise-en-place efficiently to support timely production and service.
• Ensure consistency, quality, and correct portioning of Italian menu items.
• Inspect ingredients for freshness and compliance with food safety standards.
• Follow proper storage, labeling, and stock rotation (FIFO).
• Maintain hygiene and HACCP compliance; support training of junior staff.
• Assist in stock receiving, storage, and coordination with other kitchen sections.
