Job summary

MultiBank Group, a global financial institution headquartered in Dubai, seeks a Junior Accountant to join the CFO's team. You will handle day-to-day accounting, UAE VAT, and Corporate Tax compliance, ensuring accurate records and timely reporting in a dynamic finance function.

The role requires 2+ years UAE accounting experience, proficiency in Excel, and familiarity with ERP systems like QuickBooks, Zoho Books, SAP, or Oracle. Collaboration with internal teams and external auditors is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Accountancy is required.
• Minimum 2 years UAE accounting experience.
• Practical UAE VAT and Corporate Tax compliance experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software.
• ERP experience with QuickBooks/Zoho/SAP/Oracle or similar.
• Experience supporting external audits preferred.

Responsibilities

• Record, review, and maintain day-to-day accounting transactions.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and schedules.
• Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes.
• Assist in month-end and year-end close activities.
• Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations; resolve discrepancies.

Role Overview

As the Junior Accountant, you will join the CFO's team and support the day-to-day accounting, tax compliance, and financial reporting activities of the Group. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented professional with hands-on experience in UAE VAT and Corporate Tax compliance, who can maintain accurate records, meet reporting deadlines, and contribute to the smooth running of the finance function.

Key Responsibilities

• Transaction Accounting: Record, review, and maintain day-to-day accounting transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
• Journal Entries and Reconciliations: Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.
• Period-End Closing: Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Bank and Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations, resolving discrepancies promptly.
• VAT Compliance: Prepare and submit VAT returns in compliance with UAE regulations.
• Corporate Tax Compliance: Support Corporate Tax compliance, including calculations, documentation, and filings.
• Financial Reporting and Audit: Assist in the preparation of financial statements and audit requirements.
• Record Keeping: Ensure proper maintenance of accounting records and supporting documents.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders as required.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Accountancy (BS Accountancy) or Accounting graduate (a must).
• Minimum 2 years of local UAE accounting experience.
• Practical experience in UAE VAT and Corporate Tax compliance.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Preferred: Experience with ERP/accounting systems such as QuickBooks, Zoho Books, SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
• Preferred: Experience supporting external audits.
