Role Purpose
The Junior Accountant will be responsible for managing financial activities, including invoices booking, bank reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, VAT filing, MIS reporting, and finalization of audit, maintaining various schedules etc. This role requires strong attention to detail, proficiency in financial accounting, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledger, balance sheets, and income statements.
- Manage accounts payable, receivable, and reconcile bank statements.
- Analyze financial data and business expenses.
- Involve in preparing financial statements.
- Register and file VAT returns with the Federal Tax Authority (FTA), and ensure adherence to UAE corporate tax laws.
- Perform timely closing activities and prepare financial reports.
- Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring adherence to IFRS and local regulations. Involved in fulfilling the internal and external audit requirement.
- Monitor cash flow and prepare forecast.
- Inventory control and costing.
- Trade finance.
- In addition to manage the existing workload.
Experience, Knowledge and Skills
- B.Com / M.Com candidates may also be considered if suitable.
- 3–6 years of work experience, preferably in the UAE.
- Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word, working in an ERP environment, payroll, banking arrangements, preparation and audit adhering to proper controls and processes.
- XLS competency, reporting and accounting, converse with multiple software.
- Excellent communication skills, ability to work closely with the senior management team, and ability to meet stringent deadlines.
