Job summary

DEAL Holdings in Dubai seeks an IT Specialist to support daily technology needs across office, operational, and site environments. The role balances user support with system administration, troubleshooting, vendor coordination, and IT governance in a multi-site setting.

The successful candidate will handle day-to-day IT support, infrastructure management, security enforcement, and software management, while ensuring continuity and compliant IT operations across locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
• Strong problem-solving ability, willingness to learn, and a service-oriented attitude.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Prior internship, academic project, or entry-level IT support exposure is an advantage, but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for all internal IT support requests (helpdesk, troubleshooting, escalation).
• Set up, configure, and maintain employee laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls across all platforms (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, etc.).
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues promptly to minimise downtime.
• Monitor and maintain the company's network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and Wi-Fi access points.
• Ensure reliable internet connectivity and VPN access for all staff.
• Maintain server environments (physical or cloud-based) and ensure regular backups are in place and tested.
• Implement and enforce IT security policies including antivirus, patch management, and data protection.
• Monitor for security threats and respond to incidents in a timely manner.
• Ensure all software licenses are current and compliant.
• Manage and update software deployments and internal tools.
• Document IT processes, asset inventory, and system configurations.
• Identify opportunities to improve IT efficiency and reduce friction for the team.
• Support the rollout of new tools, systems, or infrastructure upgrades.
