Emirates Flight Catering is seeking an IT Specialist – Projects to lead IT PMO activities, manage resources, and ensure delivery timelines across internal functions. The role demands strong capacity planning, timesheet validation, and stakeholder coordination in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in IT PMO/project delivery, proficiency with ITSM tools, and a PMP/PRINCE2 awareness. Full-time on-site in Dubai with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in computer science or computer engineering.
• Masters degree preferable.
• PMP or PRINCE2 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor IT resource utilization across projects and change requests to protect delivery timelines.
• Validate timesheets for accurate effort capture and cost decisions.
• Maintain demand and pipeline of projects/changes using ITSM tools.
• Review BRDs against standards and flag gaps to reduce rework.
• Coordinate with IT, HR, Finance, and Procurement to resolve dependencies.
• Build executive dashboards and tracking using in-house tools like Monday.com.
• Support CAPEX/OPEX tracking and IT budget processes with Finance.
• Oversee IT positions status, onboarding, and headcount mapping with HR.

Job Description / Role:

The IT Specialist – Projects will play a critical role within the IT department at Emirates Flight Catering, acting as a delivery anchor. This position involves overseeing project resource utilization, managing demand pipelines, and ensuring operational dependencies are resolved across various internal functions to support the organization’s delivery timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and track IT resource utilization across projects and change requests flagging utilization gaps or demand mismatches to leadership in a timely manner to help protect delivery timelines.
• Validate and report timesheets to ensure accurate effort capture for reliable cost and resourcing decisions.
• Maintain the demand and project/change requests pipeline via IT Service Management Project Management tools providing leadership with an accurate forward view to support prioritization.
• Validate and review Business Requirement Documents requirement documents against standards flagging gaps to reduce rework and downstream delivery risk.
• Liaise with internal technical and support functions such as Information Technology, Human Resource, Finance Business Partner and Procurement, to track and resolve operational dependencies.
• Build and maintain executive dashboards and project tracking by using inhouse tool (e.g. Monday.com) to support timely, accurate decision support.
• Facilitate CAPEX/OPEX tracking and the IT budget process with the Finance Business Partner to help keep spend aligned to approved budgets.
• Maintain oversight of approved IT positions status open requisitions, onboarding progress, and skills / role mapping in coordination with HR, to support alignment between resourcing and approved headcount.

Experience Required:

• 6 years of experience in IT PMO / Project delivery / Project coordination roles
• Proven experience in IT Capacity planning.
• Strong experience in IT Capacity Management (timesheets, utilization, capacity planning)

Education Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering or equivalent
• Master’s degree is preferable.
• Certification in PMP certification / PRINCE2 certification preferred

Skills Required:

• Strong project coordination with leadership mindset (acting as a delivery anchor within IT)
• Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration
• Strong proficiency in Excel (tracking, reporting) and PowerPoint (executive presentations)
• Hands-on experience with project management tools (preferably Monday.com)
• Working knowledge of IT infrastructure, applications, and enterprise systems
• Familiarity with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceDesk Plus or similar)
