Job summary

Windmills Group in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, is seeking a hands-on IT network support professional to join our infrastructure team. The role covers configuring and maintaining networking hardware, VPNs, VLANs, and cloud networks, along with end-user support and incident resolution.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in IT or related field, strong networking knowledge, and proven experience in IT support, system administration, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience in IT support, networking, and system administration.
• Hands-on experience with MacBook configuration and troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts, including LAN, WAN, VLANs, IP routing, VPNs, and firewalls.
• Experience with server management, database storage systems, and cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on MacBook configurations.
• Assist in installation, configuration, and maintenance of networking hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, Wi‑Fi).
• Troubleshoot network issues and provide timely resolutions.
• Monitor network performance and ensure availability meet requirements.
• Configure and maintain VLANs, subnets, IP routing, and VPNs.
• Setup and maintain LANs, WANs, and cloud networks.
• Manage database storage servers and cloud servers.
• Support network security with firewall management and VPN configurations.
• Document configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
• Participate in performance optimization and capacity planning.
• Assist in network access control and traffic analysis.
• Provide end-user support remotely and in person.
• Collaborate with IT teams for seamless integration.

• Hands-on experience in MacBook configurations.
• Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of networking hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
• Troubleshoot network issues (e.g., connectivity, performance, security) and provide timely resolutions.
• Perform routine network monitoring and ensure network performance and availability meet company requirements.
• Help configure and maintain network devices such as VLANs, subnets, IP routing, and VPNs.
• Assist in the setup and maintenance of internal and external network systems, including
• local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and cloud-based networks.
• Configuration, troubleshooting, and management of database storage servers and cloud servers.
• Support network security efforts by assisting with firewall management, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPN configurations.
• Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
• Participate in network performance optimization and capacity planning activities.
• Assist in the management of network access control and network traffic analysis.
• Provide support for end-users regardingnetwork-related issues, both in person and remotely.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of network-related systems.
