Job summary

Atlantis Dubai is seeking a Security specialist for IT Applications - Operations in Dubai, UAE. The role focuses on ensuring smooth operation of hotel software systems, including backups, monitoring IT support activities, and coordinating with the IT Operations Director to safeguard data and align with best practices.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma in Computer Technology or similar, with hands-on experience in application support across hospitality solutions and integrations.

Qualifications

• Preferably, we would like you to have a Diploma in Computer Technology, or comparable, with an understanding of IT processes and management tasks.
• Strong understanding and practical experience of application support throughout hospitality options and integrations is necessary.
• Understanding IT procedures and administrative tasks, experience in Network Switching and Directing Monitoring, Configuring and Networking wire monitoring.
• Solid communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, excellent organisational abilities, and the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
• Strong technical skills with the ability to troubleshoot.
• ITIL or COBIT is a plus.
• Extensive understanding of IT security principles and concepts.
• Experience with Ethernet networking, LAN/WAN network technologies, the OSI model, TCP/IP, switching, routing, Wi-Fi, IP addressing, DHCP, DNS, and VLANs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth operation of hotel software systems and backups, with regular checks.
• Monitor IT support team activities and coordinate with IT Operations Director.
• Assist capacity planning of IT and ensure data security as per requirements and best practices.
• Ensure backups are properly executed and logged, and report risks and opportunities.
• Maintain and update required IT procedures and administrative tasks.
